Jane Kirkeminde, formerly of Dwight, Kansas, passed away May 20, 2021 at Council Grove Assisted Living. There will be a private family inurnment held at Greenwood Cemetery. Jane was born November 2, 1932, the daughter of Gordon E. “Jeff” and E. Marie (Roberts) Faulconer. Jane moved to Dwight in 1961, after living in Seattle, WA, Nampa, ID and Eureka, KS. She married Richard J. “Doc” Kirkeminde on February 16, 1952 in Manhattan, KS. She attended Emporia State Teachers College. She worked for Universal Securities and the State ASC Office in Manhattan. Jane was very active in the community: volunteering with Dwight Library, organist for both Dwight United Methodist and Presbyterian Churches, she was a seamstress and knitter with many babies’ receiving blankets, caps and booties.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; and son Jeffrey Thomas Kirkeminde. Jane is survived by her son James Kirkeminde and two daughters: Margaret Kirkeminde, and Sara Kirkeminde and husband Doug Burt; grandsons Cole James and Alec Wray; and great-grandchildren: Conner J. Kirkeminde, Hadley R. Kirkeminde, Hudson W. Kirkeminde, Talon A. Burt, Eleanora W. Burt and Lucas W. Burt.
