Kirk Randolph Waters

Kirk Randolph Waters age 63, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away December 21, 2022, at the University of Kansas Health System. He was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the son of John and Patricia (Hensley) Waters.

He graduated from Council Grove High School, and worked for Neosho Construction until he started his own business.  He later went to Trevi-ICOS.  Kirk married Marsha Jones on July 23, 1980, and they had two boys, Joshua and Tyler.  They divorced and he married Jennifer Burton on June 26, 2000.  Jennifer preceded Kirk in death in November 2007.  

Kirk enjoyed guns, sports, camping and going to the lake.  He loved his family and spending time with them and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  Kirk is survived by his sons: Joshua Waters (Brandi) and Tyler Waters (Tanya); grandchildren: Autumn Rose Waters, Mia Renae Waters, and Maverick John Waters; brother David H. Waters (Connie); and nephew Matthew Waters. 

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sawyer Funeral Home, Thursday, December 29^th, from 5:00 – 6:30. A private family inurnment will be held later. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, as Kirk received a kidney transplant in 2020, which saved his life.
