Jimmy Kurt McLain

Jimmy K. McLain, age 66, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away April 23, 2022, at his family home after his short courageous battle with cancer. 

Jimmy was born October 3, 1955, in Manhattan, KS, to John and June McLain. He married Christine Reynolds and they had three children.  Jimmy retired from ExxonMobil after 40 years of dedication.

He was preceded in death by his father John McLain and sister Julie Abernathy.  

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Christine, of the home; daughter Amber Swink of Council Grove; two sons Anthony McLain (Christie) of El Dorado and Kurt McLain (Jessa) of Stillwater, OK; mother June McLain and sister Janet (Ted) of Council Grove; grandchildren Natalie, Colby, Jackson and Molly; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was deeply loved; he will be sadly missed and remain forever in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, April 30^th, at Calvary Lutheran Church.  Following the service, the family will gather at the Hays House for food and fellowship, to share stories and memories of Jimmy.
