Jesse Robert Young

Jesse Robert Young, 40, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away on November 27, 2025. He was born on May 11, 1985, in Council Grove, Kansas. Jesse was a former firefighter, a role he took great pride in and carried with him throughout his life. At the time of his passing, he was working as a heavy equipment operator for BJ Ford with B & B Construction - a job he truly enjoyed and excelled at. His boss was not only his employer but also a good friend. 

Jesse was an amazing man with a wonderful sense of humor, and a heart of gold. He could light up a room simply by walking in, bringing warmth, laughter; and joy to everyone around him. He'll never know the impact he had on so many lives. Nothing will ever take away the hurt of losing him, but he will never be forgotten. 

Jesse is survived by his father Mike Young: his sister; Allison Blankley: his girlfriend, Angel Dobbs: his children, Remington Young, Izaak Shipman, and Wyatt Kneff: his step-daughter Adalynn Dobbs: his nieces Reagan, and Paige: his nephews Kaiser, Dawson and Kayson, all of whom he cared for deeply. He was also survived by his cousin John, his best friend Hope and his Uncle Dan.

A service will be held at The Force, 731 S. Maiden Lane, Joplin, MO, on December 20, 2025, at 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration Of Life bonfire. More information will be available at the service.
