Jack Glenn York, age 90, of Dwight, Kansas, passed away May 1, 2026.
He was born on February 20, 1936 in Junction City, KS, the son of Leo and Hazel Patterson York. He graduated from Dwight High School in 1954.
Jack married Donna Goss in 1955, and they had two children, Terry and Joni.
Jack and Donna owned and operated Dwight Building Materials from 1975 to 2003. Donna ran the lumber yard while Jack was busy with the carpentry and masonry work. They loved spending time together…just driving around the county admiring the scenery.
Jack enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapshooting. He was inducted into the Kansas Trapshooting Association Hall of Fame in 2005. Jack and Donna traveled to all 50 states except Hawaii, while Jack was competing in trapshooting.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill York. Jack is survived by his loving wife Donna; children Terry and Joni York; grandson Cody Lynn York; sister Janice Beck (Ron); brother Tom York (Nancy); brother-in-law Bob Goss (Janet); and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be announced at a later date.
