Donald Lawrence Charboneau, 92 from Council Grove, KS entered peacefully into the home of his heavenly father on September 20, 2023. He was born January 5,1931 in River Rouge, MI to George and Evelyn (Jones) Charboneau. He was the fifth oldest of seventeen children. 
On December 16,1950, he married the love of his life, Joyce Jacqueline Perroud in Pinckney , MI. Theyv lived in Pinckney for 28 years on 60 acres of the family farm. She passed in 1993. 

His first job was in retail working for Kroger Supermarkets. He also worked in the Steel Mill in River Rouge and the Plastics Industry for many years until his employment with Rex Roto Corporation. He was the plant manager for their Custom Manufacturing Division. The “Custom” plant relocated to Council Grove, KS in 1978 with Don being the only employee to relocate with the company. He also worked part-time as a carpenter throughout his life. 

He loved to travel and visited several foreign countries and traveled throughout the USA. When not traveling, he could be found on the Council Grove golf course on a daily basis. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, watching Jeopardy, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid reader. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Council Grove Country Club. 

He is survived by his son’s, Michael (Anna) Charboneau of Howell, MI; David (Karen) Charboneau of Pinckney, MI; and Father Marion ( AKA Marc) Charboneau of Atchison, KS; daughters, Barbara (Peter) Fayard of Shreveport , LA; Jo-Anne (Michael McCoul) Charboneau, Riley Township, MI; Carol Hewitt and Christine (Tom) Irwin all of Council Grove, KS; his son-in-law, Joseph Thompson, Fort Wayne, IN; his siblings, Everette Charboneau , Surf City, NC; Marlene (Clarence)Sikorsky and Clement Charboneau all of Pinckney, MI; Donna McCarty, Port Isabel, TX; Gerald (Kathy) Charboneau, Seward, NE; Elaine (Mike) Shaffer, Maranda, AZ; Diane Bury, Hartselle, AL; and Merlyn (Brenda) Charboneau, Rothbury, MI; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren . He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents; daughters, Dorothy Thompson and Janice Charboneau; his siblings, Milton Charboneau, Lorraine Charboneau, Robert Charles Charboneau, James Charboneau, Robert Anthony Charboneau, Marvel Charboneau, Patsy Charboneau and Wayne Charboneau. 

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm, Monday, September 25, 2023, at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church with visitation following from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday, September 26, 2023, also at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetary.
