Darrell Lynn Miller

Darrell Lynn Miller, 75, of Dwight, Kansas passed away June 3, 2024 in Manhattan, Kansas. He was born October 26, 1948 to Lowell Lee and Elaine Louise (Lindgren) Miller. He attended Swartz Country School until 3rd grade when he transferred to Dwight Grade School. He graduated from Dwight Rural High School in 1966.

During his high school years he was a member of the Dwight Rockets State Champion Class BB Basketball Team and the State Champion 8 man football team.

After high school he played football and basketball at McPherson College for one year before transferring to Kansas State University where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Agriculture Education. While at K-State he was a member of the Farmhouse Fraternity.

Darrell married Mina Carr on October 10, 1981. Together they raised three children, Cale, Ethan and Darrah.

Darrell, along with his parents and brother, Charles, owned and operated Miller Dairy. Miller Dairy was later incorporated to Miller Brothers Farms. He recently established a farming partnership with his son, Cale. Darrell’s love and dedication to farming not only provided for his family but also instilled values of perseverance, hard work and stewardship that will continue to shape their lives.

Darrell enjoyed following and watching his kids and grandkids in sports and other activities and was their biggest supporter and fan. He had a passion for activities that brought family and friends together such as fishing with grandkids, tailgating at Kansas State sporting events, holiday family gatherings and growing pumpkins for the annual Miller Pumpkin Patch. He was a loyal supporter of the Dwight community, working to preserve its past and insure its future. He had a boisterous soul whose voice and laughter were easily recognized by all who knew him.
