Dale Krisman

Dale Thomas Krisman was born on September 5, 1956, in Silver Springs, Maryland. He passed away on September 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Dale married his beloved wife Cindy (Phillips) Krisman on April 4, 1992 in Wilsey, KS. He enjoyed an active life and had a wide range of interests. He loved spending time outdoors, camping, playing golf, racquetball, and most recently, pickleball. He was also an avid pool player who enjoyed the friendly competition. From a young age, sailing and the beach held a special place in his heart, and his love of the water continued throughout his life, including his enjoyment of building model sailboats.

Dale began his career in 1975 with Bechtel in Gaithersburg, Maryland, as a drafter. His work took him to projects across the country before bringing him to Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation during its construction. Except for a four-year period during downsizing, Dale remained at Wolf Creek, where he worked as a pipe design engineer. During his years there, he worked 23 out of the 25 refueling outages, a testament to his dedication and expertise.

Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Krisman; his parents, Thomas (Tommy) and Linnie Krisman; his brother-in-law, Roger Evy; and his nephew, Matthew Gillaspie.

He is survived by his daughter, Jordan Krisman; his sister, Lou Ann Evy; his sister-in-law, JaNell Brown; his nieces, Crystal Crigger (Dale), Cindy Eanes (Marlin), and Sara Weaver (Jesse); his great-nieces, Makenzie, Kendra, and Wrenna; and his great-nephews, Desmond and Rowen.

Dale will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, love of the outdoors, and the many passions he enjoyed throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Champions Landing, 1801 Rural St., Emporia, KS, on October 11th, from 1:00 - 5:00. A private burial will be held at Wilsey Cemetery.
