Carolyn Mae Wilson

Carolyn Mae Wilson (Taylor) was born on November 23, 1940, and raised in Council Grove. She married her high school sweetheart, James Bryan Wilson, on June 8, 1958. Together they raised 4 children. Carolyn built her life around her family. She enjoyed their routine Sunday dinners until her final days. She built a career as a real estate agent, owning Carolyn Wilson Real Estate. She then joined the family business and became the office manager of Wilson Sales Inc..

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lila Taylor; husband, James Bryan Wilson, and sister Charlene McRae and brother-in-law Robert "Mac" McRae.

Carolyn is survived by her children; Amy Gant (Brian), Becky Johnson (Dave), Sandi McDiffett (Kelly), Rachel Bolen(Bruce), all of Council Grove; grandchildren Eric Gant (Kristen) of Olathe, KS, Mindy Schaub (Josh) of Olathe, KS, Betsey Rohr (Jeff) of Overland Park, KS, Cade Johnson (Taylor) of Council Grove, Collin Johnson (Jasmyn) of Roeland Park, KS, Mallory Villalobos (Oscar) of Council Grove, Madison Bolen (Sam Kirk) of Lenexa, KS, Bennett Bolen of Emporia, and Macy Bolen of Council Grove; great-grandchildren Hayden Schaub, Taylor Gant, Harper Schaub, Savannah Gant, Emma Gant, Jase Rohr, Owen Villalobos, Oaklee Villalobos, Charlotte Rohr, Blake Gant, and Evie Johnson; brother-in-law John Wilson, sister-in-law Susan Osborne (Rex), and niece Vicki McRae.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral. A private gathering will take place at a later date.
