Anna Mae Robidou

Anna Mae Robidou, 95 of Dwight, entered the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. She was the firstborn daughter of John and Hildreth (Grove) Massey on Tuesday, January 7, 1930, in Chaulk, KS.

Anna Mae married Charles William Robidou on Monday, February 18, 1946, in Alma, KS. Three children were born to their union: Rita Mae Peters, Beverly Ann Bohn, and Christopher John Robidou.

She loved her family fiercely. They brought her so much joy, and nothing meant as much to her as having her family gathered around her dinner table for all the holiday meals. She would tirelessly get up early every holiday morning to make her family homemade cinnamon rolls and noodles. She would then become known as Noodle Grandma and Cookie Grandma by her great-grandchildren.

Anna Mae worked for her good family friends, Bud and Jenny, at Riat’s Grocery in Dwight for 43 years. Many would see her working from sun-up to sun-down. The town lavished over her handmade sandwiches that were always made with a bit of love. She was a strong and determined woman who insisted in push mowing her own yard. She even threatened her kids if they didn’t buy her a mower.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, daughter Beverly, son-in-law Paul Peters, sister Alice Erdman-Schultz, brothers Robert Massey, Dean Massey and Gary Massey.

Anna Mae is survived by her children Rita Peters, Chris (Sherri) Robidou, and son-in-law Vernon Bohn. Her brother Gale (Joyce) Massey, sister-in-law’s Margot Massey and Connie Robidou. She has 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital in care of Sawyer Funeral Home, O Box 273, Council Grove, KS 66846.

A visitation will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 23rd, at Dwight Community Church. Burial will follow at Dwight Cemetery at 11:00.
