Mildred was baptized at Wilsey Christian Church as a teenager. She attended country school in Canning Creek area and high school in Wilsey. She worked at Morris County Hospital for 22 years as a nurse’s aide and ward clerk enjoying many friendships formed there. When the girls were young, she worked with Girl Scouts. She and Bill loved fishing and hunting. They also enjoyed traveling and made many trips to California to visit brothers and sister. It would be impossible to describe Mildred’s interests without talking about bingo and the friends made there that the family refers to as bingo buddies. At one time, she would drive by herself and her bingo friends would also take her for which we are grateful. She was always more than willing to treat others as family.
